Sophie and Noah’s wedding day had a fingerprint on it that was 100% them, through and through. This fun-loving pair wanted to create a day that allowed for intimate moments with family, party vibes with friends and they totally delivered!
Their wedding day started with a first look and sharing letters at the couple’s home in Jackson, Michigan. There’s something really special about being able to have that extra shared wedding day memory in the home that you share together. Then the couple and their friends had a great time taking photos around downtown Jackson and the reception venue, before heading to their ceremony venue. One thing that was really important to the couple was giving opportunities for everyone in their family to share their talents. From managing rental logistics, the bartending services, creating the ceremony arch, putting together centerpieces, and designing paper goods. It was such a loving group effort of talented family and friends that came together for this wedding. At the ceremony venue, Sophie and Noah said their vows in front of an intimate audience with a beautiful fabric and floral draped arch, which was officiated by a family member. Then the couple, their wedding party and family members headed to an intimate dinner at Veritas in downtown Jackson. It was here that toasts were shared and everyone enjoyed a special meal together.
Later that evening, the party really got started at the Jackson County Tower Building Ballroom! Guests were welcomed by signature drinks and mocktail punches chosen by the couple along with delicious food stations. Megan Viliminot catered mouth-watering stations featuring a mashed potato bar, ramen soup, smoked pork nachos and more. Setting the scene were glowing candles and moody-toned floral bud vases against the beautiful art deco setting of the ballroom. The couple also gathered prom photos from all of their family members to display, including theirs, which was their first date! Big L and Code Blu brought the vibes with their fun Motown live band set and had everyone grooving right along. It is always special when I get to plan for a friend and Sophie is definitely one! After being my hairdresser before I moved for several years, it was beyond a pleasure to be a part of her day. As Sophie sweetly said towards the end of the night “now I get to be in your chair” (cue me crying), it was magic seeing the smiles on their faces throughout the day!
Congratulations to Sophie and Noah! Sending you all the love and happiness!
