Summer weddings never looked so good and felt so right! Sara and Jordan’s day was an extension of how they wanted to experience their wedding day and highlighted the love they have for their guests. Their wedding day was planned through their mothers and it was a privilege to be a part of their entire planning process and see their vision turn to reality. The couple wanted an effortless day to mingle and spend time with their loved ones and it was perfect.
Guests arrived via shuttles to the beautiful ground of Zingerman’s Cornman Farms in Dexter, Michigan. As they made their way across the lawns they came upon the historic white farmhouse with a gorgeous ceremony setting in front. Floral arrangements oozing with color lined the stairs to the porch along with a natural wood chuppah adorned with bright florals and greenery. The ketubah chosen by the couple was equally as colorful and unique. Loud cheers erupted as Jordan smashed the glass and the couple kissed! Following the ceremony, guests head across the lawn to enjoy passed drinks and delicious appetizers along with lawn games and baby goat mingles. (Milly and Tilly are the cutest!) Throughout the evening, guests could also take instant photos and write messages in the couple’s photo book. It was so much fun seeing how everyone was documenting the day!
Upon entering the reception tent for dinner, colorful bud vases filled the space with such bright and happy feelings. From day one, we knew that we wanted texture, depth and a rainbow of colors and Sparrow Bloom Co. delivered that in every way to this stunning tent. Every table number was associated with childhood photos of Sara and Jordan from age 1 to 13, it was so neat to watch everyone go around the room and look at them. Dinner was a communal experience with delicious family style dishes prepared by Cornman Farms.
A beautiful August day slowly turned into a stunning sunset as dinner ended and guests took in the evening air. Sara and Jordan cut into their bright blue cake surrounded by flowers and even held a mini figurine of their pup, Reuben, hidden amongst the blooms. Then everyone headed upstairs to a transformed dance floor featuring silver and rose colored disco balls and a flower-lined stage border for the band stage. From there, Bluewater Kings Band, led the group through, as Jordan described, “a wild Hora” and packed that dance floor all the way until the end. This day will never be forgotten and was pure bliss to be a part of this family and vendor team to help celebrate Sara and Jordan!
Congratulations and much love!
