Wedding Story

Idyllic, ethereal, effortless and perfectly representative of Mia and Doug. No amount of words can fully encompass the magic that was their Traverse City wedding in Northern Michigan. It was a privilege to be a part of their planning process and to see it unfold in such a beautiful way for them on their wedding day. 

Ceremony:

Nestled in the orchards of Traverse City, Jacob’s Farm, was the ideal setting for these two nature lovers to hold their wedding. A sprawling property with meadows on all sides, forest ceremony and immaculate views in every direction. Guests arrive for the ceremony tucked into the forest treeline with existing pews and adorned with draping floral arrangements at the focal point. Mia entered the ceremony tree grove with her parents and it was breathtaking. The couple stood amongst the trees as everyone witnessed their personal and intimate wedding ceremony. After many cheers, the couple exited down the aisle and everyone headed back to the main reception area for cocktail hour. It was the perfect afternoon to mingle outside at the cocktail tables, play cornhole and take in the scenic views.

Reception & Beyond:

In the main reception area, flickering candles, chic bud vases and vibrant green accents set the scene at the guest tables and it fit the venue perfectly. The catering team at Jacob’s Farm served a delicious farm-to-table inspired meal. Followed by a Traverse City-themed dessert of Gallagher’s Farm fruit pies and Moomer’s ice cream was a highlight. Filled with good food and company, guests were able to take in the sunset views and curl up next to the bonfire as the evening wore on. The sun went down and Mia and Doug took to the dance floor to share their first dance to open up the dance floor. One moment flowed fluidly to the next, allowing for time to soak in each moment.
