Seeing Melissa walk down the aisle to Ryan on their wedding day amidst their dream setting was pure magic. Michigan turned out a perfect 70 degree partly cloudy wedding day and it was the ideal setting for their early fall wedding. After a first look at the Shinola Hotel, Melissa and Ryan headed off with their wedding party to take photos together in downtown Detroit.
As guests arrived at the Whiskey Factory, they were escorted to the upper level where the ceremony setting was awaiting them. Black chiavari chairs led the way to a lush greenery backdrop, where Melissa and Ryan would share their vows and participate in a hand-fasting cord ceremony. (It worked- yay!) Their guests erupted in cheers as the couple kissed and was announced for the first time! Following the ceremony, guests headed downstairs to enjoy delicious appetizers, such as mini meatballs, chicken and waffle forks and a cheese display from Cutting Edge Cuisine along with custom craft cocktails from the Whiskey Factory. Meanwhile, the upper level was in full transformation mode! Lee Floral Design had created stunning greenery installations along the ceiling that our team placed rows of chairs underneath. The tables were filled with varying glowing candles to create their ethereal, woodsy look that our couple loved. Black charger plates and moody purple napkins tied off the look. Melissa and Ryan wanted their day designed for guests to be at ease and enjoy every phase of the wedding without being rushed, which was accomplished with an extended cocktail hour and transition timing for guests to visit the bar and get settled upstairs before introductions.
Melissa and Ryan made their grand entrance off of the elevator and the evening took off from there! Guests were able to enjoy a unique dining experience of a prime rib and salmon skewer station along with an interactive sushi wall, all of which was so amazing! On the sweeter side of things; a donut wall featuring mexican chocolate, blueberry crumble and cinnamon sugar were served as well. To start off the dance floor, Melissa and Ryan shared a choreographed first dance and it was perfection! Then Derek from the Block Party took it from there and created such a fun and lively dance floor experience! Seeing Melissa and Ryan together, you know it’s meant to be and it was a pleasure to be a part of their story.
Congratulations and much love to Melissa and Ryan!
