Pack your bags and head off to Camp Quinler with us! Maia and Alex designed this weekend to spend time with their friends and family in a unique atmosphere. The weekend included so many special details to share more about themselves with their guests and help them to have a great experience!
Friday kicked off with guests arriving at the check-in station where they received custom field guide notebooks designed by Maia, which included all of the important details for the weekend. That night everyone showcased their talents with an open mic concert and “s’moregusborg.” On Saturday morning, guests participated in camp activities such as canoeing, archery, ax throwing, lawn games and crafts. Guests were encouraged to dress in retro camp outfits and they did not disappoint! As guests transitioned from camp activities to get wedding ready, they could enjoy drinks and a DIY trail mix on the lodge deck before the ceremony. Then everyone walked through the trees to the ceremony located on the shining waters of the Big Blue Lake. It was the perfect early fall day, lower temps, light breeze and sun shining. Maia walked down the path to Alex and they entered together for their ceremony. Their mutual friend, Nola, officiated their wedding and it was filled with so much love. Following the ceremony, Maia and Alex joined the audience for a fun group photo!
Back at the Lodge cocktail appetizers and cool drinks in the drink canoe awaited everyone. Upon entering the Lodge, guests found their seats using a beautiful seating chart featuring forest animals designed by Maia. Then a taco buffet from Donkey Taqueria was served that was followed by memorable toasts and light roasts of the couple, lots of laughs were shared! Family made delicious cupcakes and hand-pies for dessert (dreaming of those hand-pies currently) and those were such a hit with their guests! After grabbing a sweet treat, guests watched as Maia and Alex took a turn on the dance floor and waltzed to their first dance song. Throughout the night, it was so great to watch everyone enjoying themselves mingling on the deck, sitting by the bonfire and tearing up the dance floor. What a great day!
Congratulations to Alex and Maia!
