From our first consultation call, I knew that I was going to love working with Kim, Joe and their families. These two are so genuine, kind, caring and it truly shows in how they love each other and their people. The light that shines from Kim is so authentic and joyous, it was a delight to be a part of their wedding day!
Guests traveled from all over the United States to celebrate these two in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the Harris Building. It proved to be the perfect location and was close enough that guests could even walk from their hotel amidst all of the fun that Grand Rapids offers. Upon entering the venue, guests walked up a stairwell glowing with LED candles and walked to the ceremony room set with black chiavari chairs. The scene was set with a beautiful wooden arbor created by Kim’s father. The couple even surprised Kim’s family with a breaking of the glass tradition during the ceremony! With a stomp of the glass and a kiss- loud cheers erupted from the crown to announce these two as newlyweds!
While the ceremony room transformed into the reception space, guests were able to enjoy cocktail hour in the front of the Harris Building. Delicious appetizers and drinks were awaiting them along with a photo booth and signing boards. The couple also created a photo board featuring family wedding photos, which was so nice to reminisce on. Guests then found their way to their seats at tables featuring lush bud vases and a meaningful thank you note from the couple. A custom ceramic dish created by Joe’s mom, Robin- NorthSide Clay and Canvas, which included the couple’s name stamped onto the bottom. Laughs and tears were shed during the toasts to the couple- it was so evident how much Kim and Joe are loved by their family and friends! From there, one thing flowed to the next and strung together such an amazing evening for this couple and their guests. An ice cream cart and cookies provided a delicious cool off from their happening dance floor- along with flip flops for a quick shoe change and glow wand for extra fun! There was also a cornhole board set up with a pizza late night snack for guests to partake in as well. There were so many details that Joe and Kim had thought of to take care of their guests and to make sure that they had a good time. It was a wonderful day to be a part of.
Congratulations to Kim and Joe- we wish you so much love and happiness!
