Kayla and John’s Detroit wedding day was iconic, effortless and true to them. Seeing these two experience all of the love and joy throughout their wedding day was what it’s all about. It was the perfect 70 degree fall day in downtown Detroit with peak October colors in the trees. The couple got ready and had their first look at the Siren Hotel before heading out for wedding party photos in the downtown area.
The couple and family took photos ahead of the ceremony and by doing this ahead of time, left time for the couple to move at their own pace and mingle throughout the cocktail hour. It came time for the ceremony to begin as Kayla and her father stepped off of the elevator for their grand entrance. Making their way down the aisle to John standing in front of an arch filled with lush babies breath, creating a stunning backdrop. After a meaningful ceremony that was officiated by Kayla’s grandfather, guests headed downstairs to enjoy custom cocktails and a tasty charcuterie board table from Two Unique Catering.
While everyone participated in cocktail hour, we flipped the upper level to reveal a stunning reception look filled with wood tables and black chiavari chairs. Tables alternated with white floral bud vases, babies breath garlands and unique candle accents. We did a special room reveal with the couple before they headed out onto the rooftop of the Whiskey Factory, which overlooks the Detroit skyline. Guests were so surprised at the change of the room as they entered to see the new look. After a delicious dinner, the couple and their guests opened up the dance floor with a special anniversary dance. Sweet treats of cake, cookie bars, brownies, donuts and more awaited guests as well. It was such a special day to be a part of and we are forever grateful to have been.
Congratulations and much love to Kayla and John!
