Does it get any more romantic than having a Valentine’s Day wedding at a historic mansion? It turns out it does. Kaitlyn and Anthony’s Meadow Brook Hall wedding day was full of sweet moments and details for themselves and their guests.
Their wedding took place at the historic Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills on a mild February day and it was the perfect backdrop. Guests were welcomed with sparkling wine as they made their way to the Ballroom area for the ceremony. It was a beautiful moment as Kaitlyn entered the Ballroom with her father and walked down the aisle. Their ceremony was officiant by Kaitlyn’s brother and it was even more special as the couple shared vows that they had written to each other. Many cheers erupted as these two kissed and walked down the aisle!
Armenian musicians set the mood in the Great Hall as guests entered for cocktail hour. Delicious passed appetizers were served and guests enjoyed a themed cocktail, The Aviation, a nod to Anthony’s love of flying. During cocktail hour, guests were able to tour around Meadow Brook Hall and historians waited in different areas of the home to chat with guests about the history.
Following cocktail hour, guests were invited to take their seats for dinner. Dinner seating was divided into three stunning rooms; the Christopher Wren Dining Room, Mr. Wilson’s Study and Mrs. Wilson’s Study. The scene was set with gold chiavari chairs and gleaming ivory satin linens accented with merlot colored napkins and table number signs. Merlot taper candles glowed against the romantic floral centerpieces. The couple even had a sweet custom box of truffles waiting for guests at their seats. To close out dinner, guests were served coffee and espresso martinis table-side.
To help make the most of having their wedding in this historic hall, we were very intentional about using numerous areas throughout the evening. All of the guests gathered in the Great Hall to prepare for Kaitlyn and Anthony to enter for the Tuc Ba, an Armenian dollar dance tradition. The Armenian musicians played in the couple with their family and wedding party as they danced through the crowd. It was so fun to watch them and their guests enjoy this! Then Anthony and Kaitlyn cut their wedding cake and we listened to meaningful toasts from their loved one.
Then guests headed downstairs for desserts and dancing! An amazing dessert spread of assorted options from Meadow Brook Hall awaited guests. The couple had a couple of surprises set out as well; fun heart necklaces and vintage Valentine cards for guests to fill out. Another surprise, Kaitlyn changed into a red dress for a TANGO first dance with Anthony and it definitely scored a 10/10! Following some special family dances, The Phoenix Theory opened up the dance floor and it was packed until the last song.
Just when you thought you couldn’t handle any more surprises; Anthony joined the band to play guitar and sing several rock hits with them. Anthony and the band practiced ahead of time and it was epic to see everyone jam out to their songs! Everything flowed from one event to the next and it was such a special day for this amazing couple. Envisioning this day with these two was such a dream and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
Congratulations and much love to you two!
