Words can not express the amount of joy, love and fun vibes that overflowed from Erin and Mike’s wedding day. They had such a singular and unique vision for their wedding day which was bringing a modern, disco infused atmosphere to their ceremony and reception venues. Seeing it come to life was breathtaking and watching them in their element throughout the wedding day was everything.
Mike and Erin’s wedding day was designed to allow the couple to have laid-back day to spend with all of their loved ones. Erin enjoyed spending time with friends off-site at an air bnb and Mike went golfing that morning with friends, before they joined up for a first look at their home. Opting out of having a wedding party allowed them to bring more friends into the fold and let their friends have a more relaxing day as well. The ceremony and cocktail hour took place at the couple’s Ann Arbor home underneath a tent with glowing bistro lights. Guests were invited to arrive early to enjoy welcome drinks from the Byrdie Bar trailer while they mingled around the yard. Brightly colored linens and floral bud vases on cocktail tables set the tone for the day’s color story. The couple also had a photo lounge set up for guests to interact with as well. As the ceremony started, Mike walked down the aisle with his grandmother and Erin entered with her parents. Floral boxes of yellow and orange flowers lined the aisle to a white stage with brightly colored wooden arches for their ceremony backdrop. The floral boxes were created by Erin’s dad and family friend and flowered by University Flower Shop. A fun element to the couple’s ceremony was that we taped the rings in a ring bag underneath a random chair. Then during the ceremony, their officiant called for guests to check underneath and then that guest brought them up to the couple. It was so much fun watching everyone check to see if they had them. Following the ceremony, guests mingled and enjoyed cocktail hour at the couple’s home before heading to the reception at Venue by 4M.
The reception venue of Venue by 4M was transformed into the couple’s dream vision; from the stunning fringe ceiling installation by Modernly Events, to the eclectic bud vases and floral boxes lining the table and the motion graphic monograms on the TVs- it was a showstopper! Watching guests arrive and take everything in was such a treat! As everyone arrived they enjoyed welcome drinks of negronis and Andy’s Only cocktails. After a rousing cheer for Erin and Mike’s entrance, the couple shared some sweet thank yous before dinner began. Venue by 4M pulled out all the stops for an amazing family style dinner service with wine pairings for everyone. As the dessert course (brownie sundaes!) came out, Erin and Mike’s friends shared fun and heartfelt toasts. Then the couple opened the dance floor with their formal dances and Luke Frutig of LuFru Entertainment got the dance floor started and it did not slow down once. Under the dance floor lights, disco balls and brightly colored fringe installation, the energy pulsed and was so fun to take in! Extra fun elements of late night sliders, espresso martinis, bon bon bon chocolates and to-go floral bouquets sent their guests off in style. It was the best day and every moment spent planning with these two with a highlight, but nothing beat seeing them live their best lives together on this day!
Congratulations to Erin & Mike!
