Christina and Sean’s Whiskey Factory wedding day was a beautiful celebration of love, laughter, and connection. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple tied the knot on a warm July day in Detroit. Every detail of the day reflected their personalities and the deep bond they share. This created a truly unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
The Whiskey Factory is a breathtaking mix of industrial charm and romantic elegance. Two vibrant floral arrangements set the scene for the couple’s ceremony backdrop against the historic wood bar. The couple’s friend, Grace, officiated their ceremony, which brought an intimate feel and warmth to their ceremony. The talented Elise Komer, solo violinist, added a beautiful and timeless touch to the ceremony. After sharing vows and sealing them with a kiss, the crowd erupted into a flurry of cheers and applause. The couple’s joy lit up the room!
Following the ceremony, everyone headed to the factory level to enjoy appetizers and cocktails featuring spirits from Detroit City Distillery. The couple’s dog, Marvin, even made a special appearance on the drink stirrers and cocktail napkins! Guests enjoyed passed appetizers, including petite Angus beef sliders, tuna poke wonton chips, and jumbo shrimp cocktail. A custom cigar bar awaited the guests outside, which offered hand-rolled cigars while guests mingled outside.
The reception space was a vision of understated elegance. Long farm tables adorned with glowing candles and bud vases filled with colorful wildflowers, which created playful and vibrant look. A surprise lottery ticket awaited each guest at their seats. Paired with the lottery tickets, were a sweet treat of Grandpa Lehman’s famous homemade caramels. Dinner, prepared by the incredible chefs at Two Unique Catering, featured an exceptional menu. Guests loved the red wine braised beef short ribs, grilled miso seabass, and wild mushroom ravioli entrees.
After dinner, Christina and Sean cut into their retro-inspired heart-shaped cake, a fun and memorable nod to their playful personalities. A “Michigan Favorites” dessert station served up cherry pie cheesecake, Mackinac fudge bites and Sanders hot fudge cream puffs.
The entertainment for the evening was provided by the lively and talented band Your Generation in Concert. The band’s high-energy performances kept the dance floor packed all night. Guests also enjoyed Detroit-style Coney dogs as a late night snack. These are a local favorite that added a fun and nostalgic touch to the evening.
The evening wrapped up and it was full of memories that will last a lifetime! Congratulations to Christina and Sean – here’s to a future filled with endless adventures and happiness!
