Christina and Sean’s wedding day was a beautiful celebration of love, laughter, and connection. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple tied the knot on a warm July day at the stunning Whiskey Factory in Detroit. Every detail of the day reflected their personalities and the deep bond they share, creating a truly unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
The ceremony space was a breathtaking mix of industrial charm and romantic elegance, featuring vibrant arrangements of colorful flowers that brought warmth and energy to the room. The ceremony was officiated by their dear friend Grace, whose heartfelt words and personal anecdotes brought warmth and intimacy to the occasion. The ceremony music, played by the incredibly talented solo violinist Elise Komer, added a beautiful and timeless touch to the ceremony. After exchanging their meaningful vows and sealing them with a kiss, Christina and Sean exited to a flurry of cheers and applause, their joy lighting up the room.
Cocktail hour took place downstairs among the whiskey barrels, where guests were served signature cocktails featuring custom stirrers and cocktail napkins adorned with illustrations of Christina and Sean’s beloved dog, Marvin. Guests enjoyed a delicious selection of passed appetizers, including petite Angus beef sliders, tuna poke wonton chips, and jumbo shrimp cocktail. A custom cigar bar was also set up, offering hand-rolled cigars and a relaxing space for guests to unwind and mingle.
The reception space was a vision of understated elegance, featuring long farm tables adorned with glowing candles and bud vases filled with colorful wildflowers, adding a playful and vibrant touch to the industrial venue. Each guest’s seat included a lottery ticket for a bit of added fun, and Grandpa Lehman’s famous homemade caramels were placed on the tables as a sweet and sentimental treat for everyone to enjoy. Dinner, prepared by the incredible chefs at Two Unique Catering, featured an exceptional menu with options like red wine braised beef short ribs, grilled miso seabass, and wild mushroom ravioli.
After dinner, Christina and Sean cut into their retro-inspired heart-shaped cake, a fun and memorable nod to their playful personalities. For dessert, guests were treated to a “Michigan Favorites” dessert bar, featuring delectable options like Traverse City cherry cheesecake, Mackinac fudge bites, and Sanders cream puff shooters.
Following their first dance, entertainment for the evening was provided by the lively and talented band Your Generation in Concert, whose high-energy performance kept the dance floor packed all night. Guests also enjoyed a late-night snack of Detroit coney dogs, a local favorite that added a fun and nostalgic touch to the evening.
It was an unforgettable day filled with love, laughter, and memories to last a lifetime. Congratulations to Christina and Sean – here’s to a future filled with endless adventures and happiness!
