Catherine & Eric
Summer romance at its peak! Catherine and Eric’s wedding was a perfect balance of timeless romance and garden party colors. Working with these two from the beginning to help define their vision and watch it bloom was such a pleasure. Eric and Catherine’s love for each other is so pure and like a breath of fresh air. Seeing these two enjoy their wedding day together and seek each other throughout it in small moments was beyond special.
Ann Arbor, Michigan, is not only home to this sweet couple and their adorable corgi, but also held the backdrops for Catherine and Eric’s wedding day. Catherine and Eric shared their first look together in the shade of the historic Michigan League building. Then followed with photos including their wedding party and family. The day was designed with the intention to give Catherine and Eric time to spend with those closest to them and then enjoy time with all of their other friends and family after the ceremony. Guests arrived at the beautiful Matthaei Botanical Gardens for their couple’s ceremony. After receiving cool water and being guided by a custom sign created by the groom and his family, they took their seats amidst the blooming perennial garden. Many happy tears were shed as these two shared their vows together and then the guests erupted in cheers, waving ribbon wands as the couple walked down the aisle.
Upon arriving at the Michigan League building, guests entered through a lush vine covered gate into the stunning garden courtyard. Here they were greeted with delicious appetizers and enjoyed the tunes from Cancel Monday Band’s jazz trio. WIthin the main ballroom, the garden theme was carried through by the beyond stunning colorful floral arrangements from University Flower Shop. Specialty wood cross back chairs from Detroit Chiavari were brought in to help embrace the natural wood tones of the room and enhance that garden vibe. Catherine and Eric were cheered into the room and then surprised their guests with a choreographed first dance to kick off the evening! From there, guests enjoyed an amazing plated dinner experience from the MI League catering staff and then were whisked onto the dance floor by the Cancel Monday Band, which was packed from start to finish! This day was filled with so many small, quiet moments of love, support, laughter and fun. It was a dream!
