Crystal clear skies, autumn leaves scattered over the fading green grass, pops of color still on the trees that are late to fall, and crisp air that is warmed by the sunshine set the scene for Jordan and Andrea’s late October wedding at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms. Jordan stepped out the front door of the historic white farmhouse and stood in front of family and friends awaiting his beautiful bride. Andrea made her way down the pumpkin lined aisle with her father Mark as friends played “From this Moment on” on their acoustic guitars. After the ceremony, guests were invited to cocktail hour inside the red barn. They were greeted with incredible appetizers, including savory feta kisses, exotic vegetables, and Indian spice meatballs. As cocktail hour came to a close, everyone was invited into the reception tent filled with soft candlelight, fall gourds, and floral centerpieces filled with the colors of fall – brilliant golds, deep purples, beaming yellows, and lush greenery. Jordan’s best man Chuck and Andrea’s maid of honor Alicia kicked off the reception with heartfelt speeches and a toast to our newlyweds. Jordan and Andrea are known amongst their friends for their exquisite taste in food and Zingerman’s Catering delivered. Dinner was buffet style and included Moroccan lamb tagine, Portuguese lemon carrots, sweet garlic delicata squash, lemon couscous, and vegetable tagine. With full hearts and full bellies, it was time to party, Halloween style! As guests entered the barn, they were given the full Halloween party treatment. Jack-o-lanterns scattered throughout that had been carved by friends, bats hanging from the ceiling, spider webs covering the windows, and a two-headed skeleton watching over the dance floor. DJ Wes from The Block Party kicked off the party with Halloween music favorites as guests enjoyed the delicious pumpkin cake, chocolate eclairs, and mini lemon tartlets from Zingerman’s Bakehouse. Many of the guests were fully prepared for the Halloween vibe, dresses adorned with bats and spider webs, black and orange striped tights, and both of the couple’s Moms in witches hats. It was so much fun! As the party continued, Zingerman’s Catering served up the most incredible late night snack buffet with mini reubens, macaroni and cheese, and nachos. What a treat! As the night came to an end, everyone was given a candle that was hand-poured by Andrea and Jordan featuring a picture of them in Halloween costumes on the candle lid along with a custom matchbook. It was truly a night to remember!
Congratulations Jordan and Andrea!
