Timeless, chic, modern and effortless are just some of the words that I would use to describe Lindsay and Kevin’s wedding day. I had the extreme pleasure of planning with this pair from the beginning and these two were nothing short of a dream to work with! Both with their attention to detail, humor, wit and laid-back personalities, we had so much fun! Seeing everything come together for them as seamlessly as it did on their wedding day was so magical!
The couple chose authentic and iconic Detroit venues and details to immerse their wedding party and guests throughout their wedding weekend. This included their hotel location, which was the Foundation Hotel. The Makeup Loft provided hair and makeup services on-location while the wedding party enjoyed themselves at the hotel. Then it was time for a first look between Lindsay and Kevin at the hotel facilitated by Fender Photo followed by photos throughout downtown Detroit at the DIA and Eastern Market. Guests and the wedding party arrived at the ceremony location, the beautiful and historic, Ste. Anne de Detroit Catholic Church, via colorful art buses from the Detroit Bus Company. Within the stunning backdrop of Ste. Anne’s, Lindsay and Kevin shared their vows in front of all of their friends and family. Following the ceremony, the guests and wedding party headed over to their reception venue, The Whiskey Factory, where a wonderful evening was awaiting them.
As guests walked into the Whiskey Factory, they were greeted by a custom welcome sign and were escorted to the upper level of the venue. Rows of tables draped in white satin linen and wood cross-back chairs were lined with airy greens, curly willow accents and glowing candles. Guests found their escort cards in crisp rows at a station near the entrance to the room, which also featured “L” and “C” cork letters made by the groom. Then upon finding their table, gold charger plates with white satin napkins and menus awaited them along with a custom sugar cookie favor. During cocktail hour, guests were treated to delicious appetizers from Two Unique Catering, such as lobster rolls, chicken waffles, three cheese arrancini, tuna wontons and spring rolls. Then following cutting their dreamy buttercream cake, everyone enjoyed their salads while toasts were given by Lindsay’s father, her maid of honor and Kevin’s brothers. Two Unique provided such an amazing plated dinner service that flowed right into dessert. Everyone also enjoyed signature cocktails and bar service from the Whiskey Factory, Lindsay and Kevin even named one of the cocktails after their beloved pup, Frank! From there the Block Party whisked everyone to the dance floor for Lindsay and Kevin’s first dance, which was to “I Found You” by the Alabama Shakes. Jet’s Pizza was delivered to provide a fun treat for everyone later in the evening and it was such a crowd-pleaser! It was so special to watch Lindsay and Kevin spend time with their friends and family and for those people to come to celebrate with them. So much love for these two!
Congratulations Lindsay and Kevin- cheers to many years of happiness!
