Real Wedding Story: Lindsey & Billy

Lindsey and Billy’s wedding day ended up being quite a hot one for early June, but that couldn’t slow down the excitement for their day! It was such a pleasure to witness their day as they shared their love with their family and friends. Lindsey and Billy are so fun, light-hearted and caring and you could really see how much their friends and family meant to them.

Before the ceremony began, guests were guided through a courtyard gate, where the shade of a large tent in the courtyard greeted them. Along with tables for mingling, lawn games and refreshing water for them to enjoy prior to the ceremony. Lindsey and Billy decided not to see each other before the ceremony, so there was quite the buildup as Lindsey and her dad stepped out to make their entrance down the aisle. The ceremony was set under the wooden pergola adorned with flowing chiffon and floral in front of the pond at Black Barn. Everyone was a little misty-eyed after witnessing Lindsey and Billy share their vows and the officiant was Lindsey’s uncle, which really added a special touch. Signature cocktails; Pink Whitney and Honey Bee, awaited guests along with passed appetizers from Two Women and a Tray. After cocktail hour, toasts were given by Lindsey’s mom, Billy’s best man and Lindsey’s maid of honor, with a special thank you from the groom as well! So much love, friendship and thankfulness were poured into those words. From here the rest of their day had such a natural ebb and flow to it. Lindsey and Billy got to enjoy a lovely golden hour for their photo, while guests enjoyed mingling throughout the venue. When they returned, they cut their wedding cake, and their dessert station opened for their guests, featuring frosted sugar cookies and cupcakes. Formal dances had some special moments as well- especially when Lindsey’s dad performed a custom rap that he wrote about them before they shared their dance! Honestly, it was so good and lots of fun! Then the dance floor kicked off and didn’t stop until the last song. It was such a great summer wedding day to celebrate these two!
