Real Wedding Story: Taylor & Garret

Taylor and Garret’s summer wedding did not disappoint! We really enjoyed working with these two to help their vineyard wedding vision unfold. Even when Michigan was threatening rain on their big day, it turned out beautifully!

Their ceremony took place out at a historic oak tree in the vineyards at Black Barn Vineyard and Winery. We kept guests cool with a drink station on their walk to the ceremony site. Guests were greeted with a chic window pane sign designed by Pop Fizz Klink that displayed the drink station options as they grabbed a cool beverage for their stroll through the vines to the oak tree. Although it was 90 degrees out, this gorgeous tree provided the perfect amount of shade. The groom’s family even commissioned Amber to design a surprise ceremony installation for the couple! We hung the faux floral inside black lanterns at varying lengths in the oak tree that added just the right balance of embellishment to compliment their wedding look! It was such a meaningful ceremony for this special couple!

Inside the reception room featured a mix of round tables with ivory linens and wooden farm tables. Max & Marley’s Design Co. created lovely blush and ivory compote arrangements and greenery runners for the tables. Each place setting featured a dusty rose napkin, sprig of baby’s breath and cork holding a hand-lettered place card from Pop Fizz Klink. The dinner menu from The Produce Station was a hit with their guests and had everyone satisfied! Their adorable cutting cake was created by The Pastry Perlieu, which was cookies and cream flavored, how fun! Guests also enjoyed the sweet delights of donuts from Donut Bar. Extra fun touches were the custom wooden wine stoppers and bottle opener favors for the guests to take home and enjoy! Devin from Falcon Film Studios kept their dance floor hoppin’ as the evening went on. The summer heat eventually gave way to a cool evening as we kept the venue garage doors open, offering beautiful views and lit a bonfire for guests to gather around. The perfect way to end the day!
