Real Wedding Story: Rachel & Henry

It is always so refreshing when a wedding truly reflects a couple, their interests and personalities throughout all of the aspects. Rachel and Henry’s wedding centered on their love, with just the right amount of details and it was perfect!

I remember the day that Rachel’s inquiry flew into my inbox and I was so excited, because I had previously done Rachel’s older sister’s wedding several years earlier. I knew immediately that they were a good fit and could not wait to work with this family again! Rachel and Henry are two down-to-earth, caring and thoughtful people and it really showed in all of the thought put into their wedding vision. Rachel looked stunning in a three-quarter sleeved lace v-neck wedding gown paired with a lovely bouquet of dried flowers and leaves with cascading ribbons. Henry and the guys wore navy suits with tweed vests and newsboy hats. There was so much to love about this couple and their amazing wardrobe choices. Rachel also danced the night away in her white chucks!

Their ceremony and reception took place at the scenic Cromaine Lodge at Waldenwoods in Howell, Michigan. A cozy fireplace surrounded by loved ones served as the backdrop for their romantic ceremony. Following the ceremony, guests headed outside to do the porch picture, which gathers all of their special people in one photo. Then Rachel and Henry mingled with guests during cocktail hour in the main room. Tables were decorated with growlers from their favorite breweries embellished with some fall greens along with handcrafts tables and wood slabs. Each place setting featured a sweet chocolate favor and rolled napkins tied up with pine sprigs and twine. After an amazing dinner by the catering team at Waldenwoods, guests were treated to donuts displayed on custom pegs created by the couple and their family. These amazing donuts were a crowd favorite with flavors like chocolate dip, glazed and red velvet! Mary Ann Productions opened up that dance floor and had it PACKED with the perfect music mix until the last song. It was such a great day to celebrate this awesome couple.
