Monica and Nick’s northern Michigan was a dream and we were so happy to be a part of it! Their picturesque wedding location, Castle Farms in Charlevoix, was the ideal setting for their romantic wedding to unfold. The couple and their wedding party rented a lodge for their getting ready location and it made such a fun experience for them to all be together for the wedding weekend! Many laughs were shared, champagne bottles popped and memories made! After an emotional first look at the lodge, Monica and Nick traveled to their venue to enjoy some photo time with their wedding party around the beautiful grounds.
As guests arrived for the ceremony, they entered into a stunning garden and courtyard within the Knight’s Castle walls. At the middle was a stone entryway decorated with floral and greenery from Thyme Hills Designs that would be the backdrop for Nick and Monica’s ceremony. Their fun and joyful ceremony ended with the couple dancing down the aisle and then celebrating with their wedding party. While guests enjoyed delicious passed appetizers from Wine Guys Catering and drinks, Monica and Nick took some time for themselves and read their vows together in private in the courtyard. Escort cards hand-written by the father of the bride, led guests to their tables within the Knight’s Castle. Cascading draping and bistro lighting from the ceiling helped to create a romantic and intimate atmosphere. Tables were decorated with gold chiavari chairs, white linens, gleaming gold chargers, custom menus, glowing with candles and filled with lush floral arrangements. DJ Casey Rusch revved up the crowd to introduce the wedding party and couple, which was followed by some very special toasts. Nick and Monica even included intro songs to hype up each person who gave them a toast, which was so much fun! Wine Guys then delivered an excellent plated dinner experience in which the couple and their guests were able to sit back, relax and catch up with each other. A delectable dessert spread of brownie bites, macrons, cupcakes and cake pops were the perfect sugar rush before guests hit the dance floor. Along with a fun late night snack of tacos and sliders! That dance floor did not slow down once and was filled all the way through until the last song! It was so special to see everything come together for Monica and Nick to create such a lovely and truly wonderful wedding day!
Congratulations Nick and Monica!
