The feel of a refreshing breeze flowing across the field, the warm kiss of the sun on your skin, seeing a cherished friend and soaking in moments filled with love and happiness. This is how Sarah and Jake’s Northern Michigan wedding day felt.
Cherry Basket Farm nestled into the cherry orchards of Omena in a historic white barn set the scene for their intimate wedding day. Guests arrived for their ceremony and took their seats in a shaded field adorned with colorful floral arrangements. The couple’s ceremony, officiated by their friend, Charlie, included meaningful readings from the couple’s mothers. Special vows shared by the couple were the cherry on top of this sweet ceremony.
Cocktail hour took place in the shaded courtyard, as guests settled into cocktail tables sipping drinks and enjoying tasty appetizers. Guests entered for dinner into the upper barn that held a view of tables decorated with glowing table lamps, candles and colorful bud vases. A hand-drawn sketch of Cherry Basket Farm drawn by Sarah’s father, Brian, on their koozie and table number signs. Handwritten thank you notes that the couple wrote awaited each guest at their seats as well.
Jake’s parents, Sarah’s dad and their siblings gave toasts that had everyone equal parts in tears from laughter and memories shared! From there the evening flowed with a natural cadence as guests enjoyed the sunset and reconvened for desserts and a packed dance floor. Sarah and Jake capped off their amazing day with a glow wand reception exit. It was a dream planning with these two and it was a dream day!
Congratulations and much love to Sarah and Jake!
